I chose to work at JLG because I had the idea that it was a community and design focused Architecture firm. I found out the JLG culture was even more integrated than expected! I found out that this wonderful architecture firm was about learning, design, and giving their employees opportunities. Every person and personality that works here is what makes this design culture so engaging. The young people who make up the JLG DNA are motivated, creative and always thinking of ways to incorporate the community into what we do as designers. Because that is what Architecture is all about.

JLG has a culture that is one of its kind in the architecture profession. Emphasis is placed on creating a positive and fun workplace. Young professionals are given every opportunity to excel in their growth as architects, so long as they show ambition and drive. At JLG, we know that exceptional design is created by dedicated professionals who have a passion for creating great communities.

JLG has provided me the opportunity to explore my interest in various project types and various project responsibilities – from interviews and proposals to specifications to LEED Certification to construction administration. I’ve received a wide range of experiences that have prepared me to become a well-rounded architect with a clear vision of my future in the profession. The wide range of project types and JLG’s ability to accommodate an employee’s interests has resulted in an impressive and expansive personal portfolio for each employee.

JLG for me stuck out above the rest of firms due to its student outreach. I was curious what the firm was like, and chose to apply. Even though I had other opportunities elsewhere JLG’s culture was an influence in my decision. I appreciate that JLG allows me to develop my skills and asks what my interests are. Because of this I am working in Architectural Visualizations and researching Virtual reality applications in the field of architecture. Everyday there is a new problem to solve, and JLG has given me the tools and support that helps find the solution.

From the DNA Leadership Committee - Thank you!
